  • Construction Management Firm Announced
This week we announced a huge step in the life of the Center.   The team of H.J Russell and Company, C.D. Moody Construction Company, and Holder Construction Company has been contracted to build our facility beginning later this year. But how does signing a piece of paper move the project forward?  And what exactly does a construction management team do?

Construction management (CM) firms oversee all aspects of construction from site work to building to code compliance. The CM team will be involved in all phases of the project; pre-construction, construction, and post-construction. The Russell, Moody, Holder team will be responsible for maintaining a high level of quality for the work, managing construction timelines, and procuring materials and subcontractors. The agreement that the Center has with Russell, Moody, Holder is an “At Risk” delivery. This means that there is a commitment by the construction firm to finish the project within the initial maximum budget. In this arrangement the Center insures that the construction is done efficiently with no unexpected overages.

With less than 10 million dollars left to raise toward our $85 million groundbreaking goal and a ground breaking slated for the fall, the Center is moving from the theoretical stage to physical construction and we could not be more energized.
