King Papers Society Celebration

On August 16, 2007 the King Papers Society held a celebration at Pak Tavern. Xernona Clayton, Mayor Shirley Franklin, Ambassador Andrew Young and Reverend C.T. Vivian were among those who spoke during the reception.  Reverend Vivian and Ambassador Young spoke of Martin Luther King’s legacy, the importance of the King Papers remaining in Atlanta, and the significance of current efforts to build the Center for Civil and Human Rights and commemorate Atlanta’s contributions to the Civil Rights movement.  See pictures of the event below.

 

 

Content Council Reception

On July 23, 2007 following the Content Council's first in person meeting here in Atlanta, the Center for Civil and Human Rights Partnership hosted a reception.  The reception provided an opportunity for the members of the content council, community members and business leaders to interact and discus their visions for the stories the Center for Civil and human Rights will share.  See the pictures below.
